Why Have a Romantic Bath?
Taking a bath with your partner is an activity that costs next to nothing and can be done in the comfort of your own home, at any time that suits your couple. Although taking a bath with your partner is relatively simple, there are ways to make it romantic by following our tips.
1. Plan Ahead
To make this date idea as romantic as possible, some preparation is required. First of all, let your partner know ahead that you’re inviting them to take a romantic bath with you and that you’d like to know when would be an ideal time. Once you know the time, make sure there’s soap, wash and prepare towels and do a little cleaning of your bathroom so it’s clean, especially your bathtub. Finally, take a trip to the store to buy all the items you think you’ll need for your romantic bath. We’ll discuss what you can buy in the next few paragraphs.
2. Set a Romantic Mood
Now it’s time to create a romantic ambience around your bathtub! When it comes to lighting, you can’t go wrong with warm, low-intensity lighting. For this reason, candles are an excellent addition to a romantic bath. It’s even better if you buy scented candles to give your bathroom a pleasant, relaxing sensory experience during your romantic date. Essential oils and a diffuser can also be used. You can then add rose petals all around the bathtub to amplify the romantic mood.
Once that’s done, you can pull out your phone and speakers to play a playlist of romantic and relaxing songs. Make sure the playlist is long enough for the duration of your date, and that the volume is adjusted to a level that doesn’t prevent you and your partner from understanding each other when you talk. If you want to watch a movie, you can also bring your laptop and play Netflix.
Finally, don’t forget to bring snacks and a bottle of wine or champagne to enjoy during your romantic bath. However, be careful not to spill any crumbs.
3. Add Some Bath Essentials
To make your bath special, you should use a few bath essentials. For example, you can add epsom salt to your bath to help combat sore muscles. There are also bubble bath bombs, which are great for adding color and bubbles to bath water.
4. Use the Power of Physical Touch
Since taking a bath implies that you and your partner will be in close physical proximity to each other, why not take this opportunity to show love to your partner through physical touch if that’s their love language. Cuddle and kiss them while you’re in the bath. Tell them how much you love them. You can even give them a nice massage if you think they’ll appreciate it. Finally, if they feel like it, take the opportunity to make love. However, always make sure your partner is receptive to some of your touches before going any further, and respect their bounderies.
