Once that’s done, prepare the venue for your open mic. Choose your living room or any other room you like, designate a section of the room to be used as a stage and adjust the lighting. Bring out some glasses and a bottle of wine. After all, it’s always funnier with a little alcohol.
Then finally, if you want to go the extra mile with this date idea, use a karaoke microphone to tell your partner your jokes and stories and play a laugh track from your laptop using Youtube to add a little realism. Now you’ve got an open mic organized in your own home. As soon as you and your partner are ready, take turns going to the section of the room you’ve designated as your stage and try to make your partner laugh with one of your jokes or hilarious stories.
